The new bi-directional diamond segments by TPS have been manufactured to achieve a goal of maximum performance and speed. Strategically placed 40mm x 10mm diamond segments cut at exceptional speed through even the hardest concrete. Using a proprietary mix of bonding metals and diamond in each grit, TPS has developed a proven set of concrete surface preparation heads that resist glazing and quickly grind varying strengths of concrete. Look under the "extended information" tab to view pictures of the grinding profile left by the 20 grit concrete grinding head.  The popularity of counter rotating floor grinders used for grinding and polishing concrete has created the need for bi-directional grinding segments. This need  has been answered by the TPS concrete grinding heads. The three hole bolt pattern is widely used and allows these PCD's to be used on many third party machines.

Utilizing a V configuration, the grinding heads can be used in either a clockwise or counter clockwise rotation. This bi directional design will cut the costs of diamond tooling by eliminating the need for a left and right set of diamond tools. The popular M6 3 hole triangular mounting configuration will mount directly to planetary and rotary concrete grinders and polishers using a similar mounting pattern. Look under the technical information tab to view exact mounting measurements. Extended segment design has been implemented into the design of the TPS diamond heads. This design allows the segments to extend slightly past the mounting plates. When used on the TPS 20" rotary machine this design aids in extremely effective edge grinding allowing the diamond segments grind right up to the edge of a working area.



Synthetic diamonds can be made to perform optimally in exact applications. The diamonds used in a 20 grit head for grinding may not the best type of diamonds for 120 grit heads used to begin polishing. Each diamond head has a specific task in the grinding and surface preparation process. We kept this fact in mind when designing the TPS concrete grinding system by using diamonds manufactured with characteristics tailored to the task each grit has.
