The X13E7P contractor's package includes a full set of 6. The blue PCD is mounted in a CLOCKWISE and white in a COUNTER CLOCKWISE rotating direction. The total weight of the machine is transferred to the tips of the polycrystalline diamond teeth. Without any support to hold the teeth back, the PCD aggressively grinds deep into the concrete surface with amazing speed. This configuration will quickly remove any topical substance and continue into the concrete to quickly expose large size aggregate. Use these PCD tools to remove heavy coatings, overcoats, glues, mastics, thin set and paint as well as penetrate the concrete quickly and effectively. This diamond tool will leave extremely severe scratch patterns; view the additional picture below for an example of the scratch pattern left by these EA PCD tools. The Dual PCD SA heads are manufactured in both a clockwise and counter clockwise direction and are compatable with many rotary and planetary concrete preparation machines.  PCD (polycrystalline diamond) is the result of sophisticated high-pressure, high-temperature technology in which carefully selected synthetic diamond particles are sintered together in a cobalt matrix. PCD product usually consists of two layers. The PCD layer (usually black) is diamond particles which have been sintered together into a coherent structure using a chemo-mechanical binder and high-pressure, high-temperature conditions similar to those used in single crystal diamond synthesis. The polycrystalline diamond layer is integrally bonded by an advanced process to a super tough tungsten carbide substrate which provides strength and permits welding or brazing with other metals. Utilizing a V configuration, the grinding heads can be used in either a clockwise or counter clockwise rotation. This bi directional design will cut the costs of diamond tooling by eliminating the need for a left and right set of diamond tools. The popular M6 3 hole triangular mounting configuration will mount directly to planetary and rotary concrete grinders and polishers using a similar mounting pattern. Look at the technical information picture to view exact mounting measurements. Extended segment design has been implemented into the design of the Total Polishing Systems diamond heads. This design allows the segments to extend slightly past the mounting plates. When used on the Total Polishing Systems 20" rotary machine this design creates extremely effective edge grinding allowing the diamond segments to grind right up to the edge of a working area.

Synthetic diamonds can be made to perform optimally in exact applications. The diamonds used in a 20 grit head for grinding may not the best type of diamonds for 120 grit heads used to begin polishing. Each diamond head has a specific duty in the grinding and surface preparation process. We took this fact into consideration when designing the TPS concrete grinding system by using diamonds manufactured with characteristics tailored to the use each grit.

Included with the TPS X13E7P contractors package are 42ea 3” dry concrete polishing pads. The grits include 6 each of 50 grit, 100 grit, 200 grit, 400 grit, 800 grit, 1500 grit and 3000 grit.

The TPS dry resin diamond polishing pads have been manufactured using new high temperature tolerant resins. The 3” concrete polishing pads attach to the supplied Velcro adapter plate and can be removed and attached quickly. These “dry” diamond polishing pads can be used wet as well, the use of water will improve the life of the pads and cause no adverse effects. Using a normal wet pad in a dry environment will cause the resin bonding material to heat and become unstable, this will cause pad failure, loss of diamond substrate and smear marks on you floors surface. The TPS dry resin pads are the answer to this problem.
